Getting Social with Technology

You can’t talk about new technologies these days without bringing up the subject of Social Media. This week, we take a closer look at social media, and the underlying technology that supports the vast number of these sites.

Ryan Goff, a social media expert at the Baltimore, Maryland PR firm, MGH, will join us to talk about the difference between blogs and wiki’s, & Tweets and FB wall posts.

If you’ve ever wondered why there are so many sites that do the same thing – like store pictures online – or how you can sift through all the social media options to find what will work for your business or organization – you will want to catch this episode.

We’ll tackle these questions and take yours @ 866-472-5790, by e-mail @, on Twitter at /techtodayradio, and on our fan page on Facebook.

Christine Johnson of TEDCO also joins us to talk about how social media is working for the Maryland angel investment firm.

A Few Bytes on our Guests…
Ajay is joined this week by Ryan Goff who oversees both on- and off-line social media campaigns, as well as social media marketing efforts, for clients such as Texas Instruments, Papa John’s, Ocean City, Maryland, and Visit Baltimore. He loves figuring out what combination of social media makes sense for a particular client. These might include ambassador programs that let customers do the selling, a video that can’t help but get passed along, blog monitoring and response management, Facebook and Twitter initiatives, and more. Ryan graduated from Washington College with a B.A. in business management.
