Valentine’s Day approaches and this week we talk about Velentech gifts ideas. Its the 21st Century after all, and while roses, chocolate and jewelry are classics– digital toys certainly merit consideration.

Also on the docket this week is a look overseas at the technology’s impact on international affairs. We’ll be joined by Mrs. Leslie Jump, partner with Egypt-based, tech-sector VC firm Sawari Ventures, who will give us the VC’s and the entrepreneur’s view of situation in Tunisia, Egypt and throughout the Middle East. Are these revolutions really caused by Twitter & social networking sites? Leslie and I will also discuss whether this can happen elsewhere in the world.

We’ll also discuss with Dr. Vinod Jain of the India-US World Affairs Institute, how much of the relationship between the worlds two largest democracies is tied up in joint technology collaboration in disciplines ranging from computers to software to nuclear tech. Can Indian experience similar uprisings as in the Middle East based on its high rate of digital connectivity and social media adoption.
